Last week was a very musical week for First Stage students. On Wednesday, the Tohoku Area Japan Self-Defense Forces Orchestra visited our school and gave a powerful and inspiring performance. They even gave a few lucky students a chance to conduct.

Then on Friday, First Stage students gathered in the auditorium for grade 2’s music assembly. First, everyone sang together, then grade 2 students (conducted by grade 4) performed the Japanese version of “Tomorrow”. Their voices filled the hall with joy. Even though it’s the rainy season, I felt that “the sun will come out tomorrow”.
